Merry Christmas! - Day 9 of 30 - #30daysblogmarathon

It's the season to be merry,
and spread love and cheer,
Exchange some gifts,
'Coz ho ho ho! Christmas is here!

Wishing every one a jolly Merry Christmas and fabulous holiday season!

This is such a festive time of the year world over and a time for giving. It's a good time for all of us to be thankful for all that we have and do something for those that don't. Why don't we pledge to do something over the next one week - however small - for someone who needs it. Let's spread the true spirit of this festival and make it merrier for someone, even if it's just one more person.

True to my word, I am initiating a gratitude series on my blog - for the next 7 days starting tomorrow, I will post about something in my life that I am thankful for. Come back tomorrow for a new post :)

There is so much to be thankful for!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!! The most 'giving' time of the year and also the time to reflect on all the loveliness in our lives!

It is indeed a wonder how much there really is to be thankful for! The miracle called 'Life' is nothing but a series of things and people coming together at various times for reasons that unfold themselves as the days (or years!) pass!

So here is my last post for 2014....what better way to wrap up the year!

There is so much to be thankful for!

I bring my palms together,
And gently close my eyes;
I think of all my blessings,
And try to visualise;
The beauties and bounties bestowed,
The people in my life;
The wonder of an unknown tomorrow,
And the yesterdays I have survived!

Every new sunrise,
A brand new opportunity to bloom;
And every velvety night,
Brings promise anew;
Of yet another dawn,
An opportunity to undo;
Some of the mistakes made,
And mend some open wounds.

A family so pure and accepting,
Full of love and care;
And friends like shining stars,
People who’ll always ‘be there’;
Ones with whom memories are made,
And good and bad times shared;
My little world within the world,
Treasure like none can compare!

The miracle of ‘Time’,
Such an enigma indeed;
The way it mysteriously unfolds,
And the way it teaches and heals;
The way minutes seem like hours,
When awaiting something dear;
And the past seems like a dream,
With the years melting in together!

And most of all, the power,
That each of us holds within;
The power to think and feel,
To believe, to love and to win;
Not trophies or medals of gold,
But the hearts of the young and old;
The power to make a difference,
To the world that we call our own!

There’s so much to be thankful for,
So much to bring joy,
All the gifts in my life,
That money cannot buy;
There’s so much to be thankful for,
Close your eyes and see;
Look deep inside your heart,
For that’s where it will be!

Wishing everyone lots of happiness, peace, joy and love in the New Year 2015! May all your dreams come true. And most importantly, may you find lots more to be thankful for! :)

Love and luck,
slo
